The wind lessened a bit overnight and the direction shifted a bit to our favor so we left Bornholm and Denmark and sailed to Simrishamn in Sweden today. After a long day yesterday, we only had 11nm for today. So we had a nice birthday-breakfast for Karsten (just as good as every day), stocked up our refrigerator (yes, with beer but not only with beer) before we left and then it was just our foresail which pulled us towards Hammerhavn, a little harbour… Artikel ansehen
Our day started with very light winds and we almost got the gennaker ready to give us a boost, but then the wind increased and turned so that we were on a close reach. That was really nice sailing and our speed, about 6knots, was very satisfying until we were overtaken by a trimaran and… Artikel ansehen
Finally we were at sea again, and enjoyed it! We had to use the motor a few hours, first because of no wind, then because of a headwind in narrow waters. But later it was really nice. Now we are in the most expensive marina so far, and the showers aren’t even included. But we… Artikel ansehen
You see those happy guys? Now guess what? After a day of anxious waiting, messages of traffic jams delaying the delivery, we finally got our new radio, got it installed and it works! So early tomorrow, with the morning-opening of the bridge, we’ll finally leave Stralsund – now that we almost felt like residents.
Something went wrong, whatever it was, but we’ll get our new FM-transmitter one day later, so tomorrow is what they say and what we hope for!
